Hello Doctor. I ve been recently in Mexico and I have some sunburn on my leg. What happend was that I was ouside exposed to sun for the entire day, constantly applied sunblock lotion. I had a drink with my husband and did not realize he spil alcohol on his hand. He touched my leg and now I have his hand with fingers burnt on my leg. WOuld you recomend any lotion or treatment? it doesn t look good and it is very visible.
Hello Thanks for posting at HCM. If there is no skin breakage at the site if sunburn, you can apply a mild topical steroid like Hydrocortisone acetate cream ( available in 0.5% and 1% strengths, over the counter preparations) twice daily for 1 week,then once daily for one more week and stop.In between apply a bland elovera containing moisturizer.If there is a open wound don't apply anything, get a Dermatologist consultation so that the further treatment can be better assessed.
