I got sunburnt on my shoulders like 2 days ago, on one of my shoulders my skin started to leak yellowish white liquid, there like a blister there but it opened itself and started to leak and now there some white skin covering it, is that a sign of healing?
Acute sunburn can be very painful and discomforting. Usually there is redness, pain and discomfort, occasionally the area may blister, which ruptures spontaneously exposing raw skin which would normally get re-epithelialized in 3-5 days. In your case the skin might have already started healing
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to take a short course of an oral steroids. Oral steroids are rapidly acting and immediately bring down the swelling and discomfort.
In addition to that you could use topical moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream, twice daily for a week.
An OTC pain killer/anti-inflammatory e.g ibuprofen or aspirin can be taken twice or thrice daily to relieve the pain and discomfort.
Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen, throughout the day.
