Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Infection In Throat

Hi, I was just wondering something. I was pregnant in 1980 when I was living at a state hospital. I know that the can be very dirty places but while I was there and pregnant I got a real bad sore/ swelling throat and my tonsels were very red with white puss pockets on them. Could I of caught that infection because I lived in that inviroment or was it something inside me that I would of probably have gotton anyway. During that time I also contracted mono. I don t know doctor, I ve always wondered if thoughs dieseases are related in some way.
