Last night I slept with my window open and was apparently bitten by a bug on my elbow and just under my eye at some point while I was sleeping. I remember noticing the bites while I was sleeping, and scratching them a little bit. I figured they were just from a mosquito. However, when I woke up a few hours later, the bite under my eye was swollen all under my eye and was red. I took Benadryl and applied the cream to this spot several hours ago and there has been no noticeable change. The bite is not itchy and only a little tender but is still swollen. It looks like I have a swollen black eye. Any suggestions for treatment to reduce swelling and inflammation, or for possible causes?
