Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pain In The Right Arm Upon Movement

I have swelling and pain on my right arm about 2 inches above my wrist. Grasping, moving my fingers and turning my wrist is painful. This condition started after several days of shoveling and raking loam. I have tried Motrin and icing, but there has been no noticeable improvement.

Hello,

I think this should be related to the cervical spine disc injury and the nerve is getting trapped leading to disturbance in the motor functions. Using the soft cervical collar and using icing at the cervical region/neck region should help reduce the symptoms. Once the pain level falls below 4-5 in visual analog pain scale of 0-10 then strengthening exercises will be advised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
