Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pain On Ear Lob

My son is 4. This morning he started complaining that his ear hurt. The top of his right ear lobe was a bit red and swollen at the time, and the left top ear lobe slightly red and swollen. It has gotten worse since then. The right ear lobe is quite swollen. I have given him benedryl (just 1/4 teaspoon) twice today. His ear looks quite funny and I don t know how concerned to be.

Try some cold compresses and a mild painkiller. Continue the Benadryl for a few days; if there is no relief see a doctor. Avoid rubbing the area with cream or ointment.
