what kinda of rash cause swelling my boyfriend has a rash and nobody seems to know what kind it is or what it is. It s all over his head, face, arms, stomach, and legs. he woke up this morning and his eyes where swollen shut that was the first time for that happening. The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is urticaria which is a hypersensitivity reaction. Topical soothing lotions like calamine lotion can be used along with oral antihistamines like fexofenadine after consulting your dermatologist. Avoid fermented food and foods containing artificial fragrances as they are known to induce urticaria. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
