Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Red Bruise On The Lip After Falling Down
I passed out this morning and I bit my lip or hit it on the bathroom counter this morning.there is a large area on my lower lip where it is swollen and it is purple an a little amount of red on it.i have iced it a couple of times, how can I make the blood blister go away?HOw can I make the swollen go down?
As per your case history of traumatic bruise and swelling, my treatment advice is:
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take a NSAID like Ibuprofen drug for 5 to 7 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like Levofloxacin, Cefadroxil and Azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
