Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Throat Pain In A Smoking Person

I have had throat swelling that has been constant for weeks now, and comes and goes with no cause and is now accompanied by chest tightness. The throat swelling is painless, but gets a lot worse when laying down and it also feels like someone is sitting on my chest. I'm also a smoker so I'm very concerned

Hi welcome to health care magic ...

You have smoking history present....

So here for Chest tightness work up needed as follow.....
-Auscultation
-Chest x ray
-Spirometry (it will assess severity Also)

If COPD like condition present than bronchodilator inhaler given for that....

If posterior pharynx swelling more than short term steroid course needed....

If any suspicious growth present than USG guided biopsy needed to rule out malignancy.....

If needed throat swab can be taken for further work up...

Advise : Consult pulmonologist for examination and further work up......

Take care.....
