Suggest Treatment For Swelling & Bruises In Shoulder

My 88 yr old aunt has a very swollen shoulder. It started turning yellow 10 days ago and now has bruising that is growing larger each day. She had a needle aspiration performed 2 days ago and the fluid was bloody. Her rhumetologist and the tech at the hospital who did the aspiration and never seen anything like this before. No results back on the fluid yet, while her bruising is spreading and she is in a great deal of pain. She has not had a fall and has suffered from arthritic shoulders for many years
