Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Leg Caused After An Injury
Hi! This morning A tv 55 hit my leg on bone Instant swelling with slight cut (not bleeding) Have taking Ibuprofen twice to help and alter x3 with cold compress Swelling has gone down lot but still hurts on touch and still swollen Bruised Weird thing to when elevated for compress my foot goes tingling numb Anything I should do more ? It does not hurt at all
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Continue with icepacks to reduce swelling. Ibuprofen can be continued for pain. 2. Due to injury, swelling along with bruise is seen. It will be tender for another 3-4 days. 3. When you elevate foot for compression, circulation reduces, which results in numbness feeling, which is normal. Not to worry. As sensation is lost, pain is less. 4. If pain persists or increases along with swelling, X-ray may be needed to rule out any fractures. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
