I had my nails done with arcylic nails at a nail shop a year ago and experienced nail lifting in my thumbs. I was at the time living with someone and it was my duty to wash serveral dishes every night. I saw where my nails were detatching one by on and keep the nails on the about 3 more month, still washing dished with no gloves. When i removed nails from ny finger all ten of my fingernail plates were removed. My hands continues to be in water and now it had spread to my toes as well. I ave been to doctor and took terbefine and biotin on and off for a few months but nothing works. I have developed paroniya causes my nail beds to swell. My nails are not growing back. Any ideas for me?
hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.
chronic paronychia is due to excessive wetting of hands, which secondarily gets infected with yeast and bacteria.
so to improve paronychia the first step is to keep hands and feet dry. you can wear long rubber gloves while doing dishes so that your hands don't get wet.
also you can start applying 1% gentian violet paint twice daily. it acts against both fungi and bacteria.
simply follow above two advices. your condition should start improving in about 2 weeks time. in case it doesn't then please see a dermatologist.
hope this was helpful. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
