Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Jaw

Hi, I m not sure what is going on, but about 4 days ago, the right side of my jaw and under my ear started hurting. This has happened before, but it only lasted a few minutes. This pain and pressure continuted, and when I woke up the next morning, my jaw was swollen. It has been swollen ever since. I thought that it may be some kind of blockage in my sinus cavity, so I started taking some cefprozil, but my jaw is still swollen. It feels tight and there is a lot pressure. No direct pain. What could this be?

Hello,

Thanks for consulting HCM

Read your query as you have pain and swelling in jaw this can be due to dental infection or due to impacted wisdom tooth .
Dont be worried so much I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon for examination of oral cavity and investigation to confirm the diagnosis .
Inmeantime do warm saline rinses two - three times a day and you can take analgesic medicine like Diclomol or Ibugesic by consulting with your local doctor .

Hope this will help you.
