Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Testicle Post An Injury

I was kneed in my groin really hard 6 days ago. It knocked me down for a few minutes but I was able to continue playing basketball. There was immediate swelling above my left testicle around the veins that are connected to it right to the left of my penis. There was no visible bruising, just some minor discomfort the following days. A few days after, there is now a lump either in the veins or around them above the left testicle. Its not really hard but its not soft. It doesn t really hurt unless pressure is applied to it. Any idea what this could be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This might be post traumatic hydrocele. But nothing could be said without getting physical examination. I would advice you to visit urologist and take an opinion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
