Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Wrist

I have a serious swelling in my wrist. Is is a work comp issue. But unfortunately they have denied surgery, because the surgeon is not looking at the real problem. The surgeon claimed it as arthritis so it was denied. So now the inflammation is going into my palm. It s hard to use my hand. What can I do?

Hi,

If it osteoarthritis associated swelling may won't cause pain. But in case of carpal tunnel syndrome or tendinitis or ganglion need surgery. Osteoarthritis treated with heat and cold compression. NSAIDS treatment. If symptoms not improved local steroid injection is helpful. Please consult your orthopedics he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
