Suggest Treatment For Swelling On Back After A Fall
My mom slipped coming down the stairs and wacked her lower back against a step. She s 73 and in good health. Her lower right back is extremely swollen. She s stiff but can move. She got up and sat in a chair. We re icing it right now and she took 400mg of Advil. Should we be worried about the amount of swelling?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that your mother got injury to her back. It is most probably soft tissue injury and muscular injury. The swelling is probably Hematoma . It will gradually resolve. Thrombophobe gel local application without rubbing will be helpful. For pain relief analgesic such as ibuprofen is helpful. You can get x ray lumbar spine to exclude fracture. You can discuss with your doctor about it. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
