Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you have a swollen submandibular
salivary gland and it seems to be most probably due to the clogging of the duct of the gland due to formation of crystalline stones that obstructs the ducts of the gland and causes backflow of the saliva into the gland leading to swelling..
Dry mouth can be due to reduced saliva secretion from the gland and as it is a major salivary gland reduced secretion from it can lead to dry feeling in mouth..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Cross sectional
x ray or
MRI of the gland can help in confirming the cause and treament can be planned accordingly..
If there is stone obstructing the duct removal of the stone either manually if it is superficially present or surgically if it is deeply present can help in resolution of swelling as well as dry mouth..
As of now to relieve dry mouth chew sugarfree chewing gums and drink plenty of water..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
