Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Knee

I am a server and am on my feet a lot. I am 52 years old. The back of my knee swells and by the end of my shift I have some pain. I do have slight swelling in the front of the knee as well. Tonight I see that my leg is also swollen. If I bend the knee it feels tight. At times the back of the knee feels tight and hard. How serious is this?

Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You are having early osteoarthritis of knee joint . It can be confirmed by x ray both knee in standing. Glucosamine is helpful in preventing and to some extend repair it.You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. It doesn't seems so serious but you can exclude general causes by heart, kidney and thyroid function test. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions then don't hesitate to writing to us . I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
