Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Neck In A Child

My daughter developed a condition when she was about ten years old wherein the back part of her neck is swollen and painful to the touch. She has been checked at the Texas Children s Hospital but they could not diagnose her. She has no tumors but has constant pain which flares when she s under stress. Any idea on what she may have?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I have gone through your case history. The swelling over the wrist can be due to injury to the soft tissue ligament and tendons or a bone around wrist.
Sound clinical examination is needed to get a better overview. You need to get a radiograph done to confirm the diagnosis of fracture. However fracture can be confirmed on a radiograph. So Better you consult an orthpedician at earliest and get an Xray Done.
Can use ice or crepe and NSAIDS bandage to reduce swelling and alleviate pain
Take care.
