Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Tonsillitis
So last monday I started getting a low grade fever. The next day the fever was there I was stuffed up my tonsils were swollen and lymph nodes in pain. Went to the doctor tested negative for strep and they sent it to the lab after giving me antibiotics I took them for a good 3 days before the lab said I was negative for strep so the doctor said if it was negative just stop the antibiotics. I also had mono last year so the doctor tested for an reactivation mono it was negative aswell so now a week went by. Still have painfull swallowing to the point were I cant eat and I woke up today my pain went down but I noticed a dark red line under my ubela and I have no idea?
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query. The tonsillitis can be because of bacterial infection. You might have got negative result for strep but there are millions of microorganisms in the oral cavity. Nothing to be panic, consult a good oral physician and ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like azithromycin (if you are not allergic). Do saline gargling. I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
