Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lump On Wrist

My daughter had a small lump ( about the size of a pea) on her wrist about 6 months ago and I was told it was a cyst! I have just noticed that it has swollen to about the size of a grape. Is this natural? Or should i take her to see someone asap? Thanks

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Your daughter may have ganglion cyst or some other benign cyst. It is very common around wrist. She should go for fine needle aspiration cytology to get exact diagnosis.
Complete excision is the treatment of choice. However chances of recurrence are there. No any drugs are helpful in treatment.
Consult your doctor and plan accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
