As per your complain the white stringy thing that is appearing caught over your tonsils seems to be tonsil stones which are calcified structures formed due to calcification of food debris that is lodged over the tonsils and it is one of the potent cause for bad breath and recurring infections in tonsils causing tonsillitis.. It can also be a pus pocket formed secondary to infection. The swollen lymph nodes are also secondary to infection leading to inflammation of tonsils.. You should consult an Otolaryngologist and a thorough clinical examination can help in proper diagnosis.. For tonsillitis he/she can advise you to take antibiotics like Levofloxacin or Azithromycin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, warm saline gargles. Do warm compresses over the lymph nodes for relief.. If the white crumb is pus pocket it will resolve with the medicines but if it is a tonsil stone it needs to be removed manually and further formation of the tonsil stones can be prevented by gargling daily twice a day with warm saline gargles and gargles after eating anything with water..
