Welcome to health care magic.
1.
Lymph nodal enlargement is generally seen after any infection or inflammation, which can be localised or systemic.
2.The other possibility of lymph nodal enlargement can be due to the lymph nodal pathology itself - lymph adenomas.
3.As an investigation - get an
ultrasound examination of the lump - which will assess the status of the lymph nodes solid / cystic / degenerative status.
4.To assess further - an FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology for assessment of nature of the cells involved.
5.If you are known to any infection or systemic pathology - get it treated, the lymph nodes will disappear on their own.
6.I would recommend to see your GP, get examined and treated according to the examination and imaging findings.
Good luck.
