ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, your history is not very clear but right sided facial nerve palsy can be a reason for this but doesn't explain the swelling part. Swelling and similar symptoms can be because of cellulitis or abscess formation in the peritonsillar region on the right side but there should be pain along with which you have not mentioned but raised temperature of the region still supports an inflammatory pathology. Please see an ENT and get yourself examined. A cellulitis or abscess needs to be treated with antibiotics and after antibiotic cover, drainage may be required. Meanwhile if the swelling seems to be inflammatory, start an antibiotic like amoxy plus clavulanic acid along with analgesics and antiseptic mouth wash. Regards
