Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Asian/Indian skin tans fairly easily because it contains a lot of melanin. UV A part of the electromagnetic spectrum is mainly responsible for tanning.

I would suggest you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen, that which offers both UVB as well as UV A protection throughout the day. A broad spectrum sunscreen should have a minimum spf of 30 + or more.
You may find a suitable sunscreen OTC or you may also get it prescribed from your dermatologist

If you were one of my patients I would have suggested a skin lightening cream e.g containing one or more of the following ingredients like kojic acid, glycolic acid, arbutin, hydroquinone etc to be used once or twice daily.
The creams containing these active ingredients are available on prescription. Therefore, I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a dermatologist in your region for a prescription.
While sun protection would prevent further tanning a skin lightening cream would gradually fade away existing tan.

You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your dermatologist.
Chemical peels like glycolic peel, retinol peel are effective in fading away the tan. However, any treatment for tanning has to be complemented with regular sunscreen use, which would also prevent further tanning.

Regards
