Suggest Treatment For Tender And Painful Arm

Hi, my name is Kristin and I fell last week and landed against the arm of the couch on my left side at my rib cage. It was very tender and painful to the touch last week. But, now it is not tender, just a little painful when I touch it or rub that area. Just this morning I woke up with a bad pain in my left shoulder and when I took a deep breath it hurt in my stomach on the left side. Is that normal? Sorry for taking your time. I was not aware that I had to pay for a doctor the answer my question. I will now close out this inquiry. Thank you for your time.

Hello Kristin, its possible you might have sustained an rib fracture from your fall. If you were my patient I would suggest a chest xray to rule out fracture.
Slow minimal breathing movement and minimal exertions would reduce pain and induces faster healing.
Hope I have answered all your queries. If you have any furthur questions i would be happy to help. Good day.
