Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i was diagnosed with tendinitis of the mastoid about ten years ago and it is getting worse, causing dizziness, and I sometimes pass out during storms. at that time the doctor said it should go away when i get older and it seems to be getting worse, any suggestions?
Regarding your concern, I would recommend consulting with an ENT specialist for a physical exam and performing labyrinthine tests in order to investigate for a possible inner ear disorder. There is no reason to have such dizziness from tendinitis. In the meantime, I recommend taking Meclizine or Dimenhydrinate for the dizziness.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
