Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Your main concern seems to be Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation(PIH) which is a common sequelae of acne. The gel you are using contains 1% clindamycin phosphate. It is an antibacterial and its main use is for acne. It has no effect whatsoever on Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use a skin lightening cream containing one or more of the following ingredients e.g kojic acid, azaleic acid, hydroquinone, glycolic acid etc. These are prescription products. You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from a dermatologist. Glycolic peel is specially useful for PIH resulting from acne. I would suggest that you talk to your dermatologist for the needful. Protect your skin from sun and wear a sunscreen when moving out.
