Suggest Treatment For The Ear And Throat Infections

In the past I ve had problems with my vocal cords and loosing my voice. Also ear infections and sore throats. I got my tonsils removed and also two polyps on my vocal cord. I also have really bad heart burn due to a hernia. In the past yr I ve noticed when ever I chew ice my throat gets really dry, irritated and it makes me cough. It becomes very scratchy until I have to drink water. What could be causing that? Could it be a sign of cancer

Hi.
This may not be a cancer.
The throat infection can be caused by sinusitis.
This infection spreads to the middle ears via Eustachian tubes so that there is an infection in the ears too. The same infection travels down the throat to the voice box area causing Pharyngitis, laryngitis and so on.
The vocal cords have to be directly seen by endoscopy and if there is a chance of cancer, one has to go for removal of the vocal cord polyps and subject to the histo-pathology examination to determine whether this is just a polyp or a cancer.
I would suggest you to undergo blood and urine tests and CT scan of the sinuses to find the primary cause and treat accordingly.
Till then stop sucking ice, avoid to cold and too hot foods and beverages.
Stop chilly and spicy foods.
Take a PPI and an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines.
