good morning DOCTOR
My name is khalid khan, I adopted gutkha before 18 months. but my mouth is not full open properly. only 2 finger are feet in the mouth. and a major problem that sometime (in 1 time in a Month) mouth are starts side RED patches and some pain. but after only 1 day it is clear. 2 times i do exercise with wood spoon which 20 spoon are set in my mouth but after 15 days my upper jaw teethes are feel pain so i adopted that exercise. so Doctor plz consult me that What i Do...

Hello, thank you for consulting with healthcaremagic.
The symptoms which you are mentioning it looks that you might have a disease which is known as oral submucous fibrosis, it occurs because of habit of chewing tobacco and gutkha and there will be gradually decrease in mouth opening with burning sensation to spicy food.
For the treatment you have to start with an antioxidant like lycopene twice daily for two months and topical steroid ointment in both the cheek mucosa.
