My nose has been congested for a few months and i haven’t been able to smell in a month, i have a deviated septum but it was never a problem. I ised to live in Massachusetts and moved to Puerto Rico could this be due to the weather but before Massachusetts I used to live in PR and my allergies were nvee this bad.
As per your query you have symptoms of inability to smell due to persistent nasal congestion which seems to be due to inflammation of nasal sinuses.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you apply warm compresses on the nose. You should keep your head elevated while sleeping and take steam inhalation on a daily basis. I would suggest you consult an ENT specialist for proper examination. The doctor may order a CT scan, nasal endoscopy and blood tests. The doctor may prescribe antibacterial along with a decongestant.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
