Suggest Treatment For The Muffled Hearing

I have been slap part face and part ear. Right aftrer I couldnyt hear anything just a high pitch moniton beep. After a bit it cleared out but my hearing was still muffled. Its now 3 days later and my hearing is still bleared and faint my muscle hurts when I open my mouth and streach it. And iv been on the underground today and one my good ear was popping but my slapped ear had no afffect.

I have gone through your query for muffled hearing in the ear slaped 3 days back. As you said just after slapping you suddenly stopped hearing but now after 3 days hearing is there but it is muffeled. Your this clinical story indicates for rupture of ear drum.

I would like to say that fortunately our ear drum has got excillent power of regeneration and complete recovery takes place in about 10 - 15 days. During spontaneous recovery we should be carefull for-

1- Don't put any ear drop or oil in the ear.

2- Keep ear clean and dry.

3- Plug the ear canal with a piece of cotton.

4- If you are having cold than took anti histaminics.

5- Do warm saline gargling if sore throat develops.

I hope by taking above precautions your drum will regenerates successfully, but still any defect if you feel than consult your ENT doctor as to avoid complications.
