Suggest Treatment For Thickening Of Heart Muscle

Yes can thickening of the Left side of the heart be reverse y B/P was very high it is now down but not as low as i would like but Feeling better How long will it take my health is otherwise good. A echocardiogram was done It was not there in 2007 there has been a change of life still. More stress working very hard to relieve that stress

Hello!Thank you for asking on HCM! Regarding your concern i would explain that an appropriate anti hypertensive treatment would stop the progression of LV concentric remodeling. You should talk with your cardiologist for an optimal scheduled regimen of therapy and follow up. Repeated cardiac ultrasound would reveal eventual expected improvements, but relatively long treatment periods are needed, to see any positive effects.
