Hello,

It might be due to underlying Muscle injury. The red patches & Swelling could be Ethythema and sudden sprain at the thigh area.

Treatment-

1. Ice Pack Application (Twice/Thrice a Day)

2. Rest (For a couple of days)

3. Avoid Sports/Strenuous Activities

4. Loose clothes to avoid Wear & Tear of sore area.

5. If the pain persists for another 2 days, then take these Medicines-

Tab Signoflam - 1BD, Tab Pan 40- 1OD (Empty Stomach), Tab Enzomac - 1OD (Empty Stomach).

Take these drugs for 5-7 days.

6. If the Symptoms persists even after 1 week of the treatment, then visit a local Orthopaedics Specialist and might go for further Investigations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saurabh Singh Rajan, Sports Medicine Specialist
