Suggest Treatment For Throat Discomfort During A Coughing Fit
I ve had acute bronchitis for a few weeks now. Worked through a z pack and now on cefdinir. Was diagnosed with strep at the same time. Now my throat closes when I start having a coughing fit. Doc put me on albuterol nebulizer treatments. 38 yr old female, 5 3 , diagnosed with RA and Fibromyalgia, discontinuted MTX injections upon doc advice for the duration of the bronchitis

Hello,
Coughing continuously may lead to difficult to take a deep breath. Which may lead to gasping seen in cough variant of asthma or infection or bronchitis etc.
You have to avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Avoid cold climate and environment.
Use tablet montelukast and levocetirizine. Use bronchodilators if necessary.
If symptoms not improved then get it done a chest x-ray and CT chest.
Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
