Suggest Treatment For Throat Irritation And Pressure In Ears
From time to time for the past 4 months my throat will feel irritated when i swallow. Then a week and a half ago my right (inner)ear felt clogged and started to feel achy. More so at night. I have a tube in this ear. I tried using a qtip to remove wax but nothing came out. I went to dr. She said she couldn t see any infection in my ear. But she noticed my tube was covered in wax and that there was a hole in my ear next to the tube. She recommended for me to see an ent. She said my throat looked normal. But she prescribed me amoxiclav875. I then asked about 3 small white bumps that are on my right tonsil and she said they are blisters and that my tonsils job is to fight infections and thats what the blisters are from. After 5days of the 7day dose of the meds, i still have the throat irritation,2 blisters on tonsil and feels like pressure in my inner ear, but not so much discomfort now..what are your thoughts about all of this?thank you
You haven't mentioned your age in the question but i presumr from th details provided that you are and adult. Such persistent ear clogging is most commonly due to nasopharyngeal pathology which can be best determined by a Diagnostic nasal endoscopy as that area is not easily seen by naked eye. Taking into account the three bumps on your right side, the symptoms may point towars a nasopharyngeal tumour.
