Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain And Cough

Hi Dr.Samuel,This is Annie Fernandes, last few days (15-19 days) i start coughing alot and then i vomit it happen 2 to 3 times in a day and even wen i eat something with 10 to 15 min i vomit little everytime. Today monring i was coughing i had a bad throat pain as if i am getting some kind of sweeling on my troat. Please advise.Regards,Annie Feranandes

1. You must see an E.N.T. specialist who will inspect the throat with a good torch and tongue depressor for:

i. If the tonsils are red and inflamed with tender tonsillar lymph nodes below the angle of mandible, then could be acute tonsillitis.
ii. If the entire throat i.e. posterior pharyngeal wall is infalmed, then it is acute pharyngitis.
iii. If he see a white patch anywhere in throat it could be diptheria.
iv. Till then:
. Steam inhalations 3-4 times a day
. Warm salt water gargles.
. Antibiotic and anti inflammatory tablet.
