Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain And Difficulty In Swallowing

I am having severe pain when swallowing. I have gone to the doctor 3 times. The first time I was given a rapid strep test and then penicillin. Five days later I went back to doctor because throat was worse. He said it was worse and gave me a different antibiotic said I had tonsilitis. He also mentioned something about a peritonsiler abcess on the left side and my neck and ear hurt there too. I was fine on that antibiotic but when the ten days were up...I started to get worse. I went back to doctor yesterday, he said my tonsil is still inflamed a bit but the throat looks good. Now my tongue hurts and I can barely swallow. I can t talk because it moves my tongue. I am fine in the morning but as the day progresses I get worse. I have neck pain on the side with the smaller tonsil. I am in so much pain and the lidocaine I gargle with does nothing. I take 800 mg of ibuprofen and that barely does anything. Again in the morning I am fine and my throat doesn t hurt...but as the day goes on it gets redder and hurts more. I was told to see an ent but I can t get an appointment until another month. Mind you I have been sick since mid December.

Well if some one said to you it was peritonsillar abscess than incision and drainage should be done
Besides is there any preceding history of tooth ache or infection?
But it has to be examined if abscess it has to be drained followed by antibiotic and once settle after 6 weeks tonsillectomy should be done in case of peritonsillar abscess is the diagnosis
It needs to be proper examined
