Hello welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns. Low pletlet count has many reasons. It can be temporary or permanent problem. But as you have mentioned it looks like you have been suffered from immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). Kindly ask your doctor about that disease because if you have that disease than you need life long steroid therapy. Your doctor will decrease the dosage of steroids gradually. Another therapy is immunoglobulin inj which can cause remission for 4 to 6 months, but first confirm the diagnosis. Pletlet count less than 10000 is dangerous as it can cause intracranial hemorrhage.
