Suggest Treatment For Tightness And Pressure In The Chest

I have always had a perfect EKG reading of sinus rhythm. I have recently been experiencing some tightness and pressure in my chest, that goes away after a couple of minutes. Also, Sometimes I feel some strange fluttering in my chest that lasts for a few minutes. I am a Telemetry Technician and I recently hooked myself up and I now see a slight ST Depression. Do u think this could be Angina? I have gained around 70 lbs. and im 54 yrs old. I know this is doing me alot of harm.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you have gained weight and having slight ST depression in recent ecg (which was not present in previous ecg s), better to rule out heart diseases for your pain.
So get done
1. Blood pressure monitoring
2. Stress test
3. 2d echo
4. Holter monitoring (24 hour continuous monitoring of ecg).
If all these are normal than no need to worry for heart diseases.
Sometimes stress and anxiety can cause similar symptoms.
So avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
