I've been having a tightness in my chest for the past 3 days it feels like pressure pushed down near the bottom center of my chest i have random shortness of breathe at times as well. The first day of my symptoms came ago but by the second day the tightness has not broke. what can this be and can i get relief.
In my opinion you should first undergo chest x ray to rule out infection. Sometimes GERD can also cause similar feeling. Consult pulmonologist as bronchitis can also cause tightness with breathing difficulty. But it mostly seems GERD. Follow these steps. 1. Avoid spicy and oily food. 2. Avoid heavy meals, Take frequent small meals. 3. Take good antacids like pantoprazole and rabeprazole with prokinetic agents like levosulperide. 4. Avoid stress and anxiety and keep calm. 5. Go for walk after meals. 6. Keep 2 - 3 pillows below your head in the bed.
