Suggest Treatment For Tinnitus And Ear Ache

I have mild tinnitus and occassional ear aches in my left ear. A couple of weeks ago I went to an ENT for the tinnitus and he told me to use peroxide a couple of times a day because of my ear wax. However it has stopped working. Do I have an ear infection?

Hi dear ,

As per your query you have earache and tinnitus . The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to simple ear wax to more serious acoustic neuroma like condition . If your symptoms are not relieved by treatment prescribed by your doctor and the episodes of earache and tinnitus are getting frequent then you should again consult . Doctor may order certain test like audiometery , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax build-up , middle ear infection and Ménière's disease . Doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis , he/she may prescribe medicine like eprisone ans antibiotics ,
