I have mild tinnitus and occassional ear aches in my left ear. A couple of weeks ago I went to an ENT for the tinnitus and he told me to use peroxide a couple of times a day because of my ear wax. However it has stopped working. Do I have an ear infection?

If your symptoms are not relieved by treatment prescribed by your doctor and the episodes of earache and tinnitus are getting frequent then you should again consult . Doctor may order certain test like audiometery , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax build-up , middle ear infection and Ménière's disease .
