"Aural fullness, difficulty popping ears, intermittent sharp ear pain, hearing loss, tinnitus" are primary difficulties. I have a history of allergies but its not clear what the allergy is to - "hay fever" and possibly histamines in wines. In late summer symptoms became worse. New dimension, watering eyes and blocked dullness in ears, esp. left ear. Had been using loratidine. My doctor added nasal sprays that help except for ear symptoms. I don't have symptoms of infection but do experience pain/pressure in sinuses.
allergies appear to be nearly controlled but ear symptoms persist in one ear only.
I added a nasal decongestant on advice of my pharmacist -Pseudoephedrine HCI dose 2 10 mg tabs every 4-6 hrs. Just started this 4 days ago. It seems to be helping, but barely perceptible, very slowly, and I continue to have a pattern of increases in the symptoms over the day.
Any thoughts?
From answer to question about ear pain- above describes my symptoms...allergies appear to be controlled but ear symptoms persist in one ear only.
