Hello, My boyfriend has been experiencing lightheadedness for 3 days and tinnitus for a month. Today he was lightheaded and threw up. Now he is just lightheaded. I don t know if it s related but the water at my house has extremely high levels of iron and his skin absorbs it so much that it too smells of iron...it s hard for me to smell his skin after a shower. Could it be anemia, or some iron deficiency?? Please help. Thank you. Kristin
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your boyfriend having lightheadedness, tinnitus, vomiting and skin smelling even after shower. I would advise him the following in such a case: - CT scan of the brain and the mastoids for inner ear. - Clinical evaluation by an ENT and Neurologist to have a clinical examination and probable diagnosis. - Further tests of blood, urine and others as may be necessary after initial investigations to decide the cause and to get a proper treatment. - Smell from the skin is basically dependent upon many factors: the foods, beverages, the deodorants used, and some medical conditions. Get a clinical judgment, permutations and combinations of the factors I have mentioned and he will be fine.
