ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, tinnitus can really be annoying and needs to be tackled in many ways. An ENT examination along with audiometry may help in finding cause in some cases. An MRI brain will also help in finding some rarer causes of tinnitus. But in many cases all the things come out as normal. In such cases use of drugs like Amitriptyline, betahistine, alprazolam and B complex help. But none of these is a sure shot treatment. Tinnitus retraining therapy helps in some of these cases. A hearing aid with tinnitus matching also helps in some cases where there is accompanying hearing loss. Regards
