I developed a wart on a finger. To get rid of it, I applied something called Wart Stick which contains 40% salicylic acid. Wart Stick worked great, killed the wart in 3-4 days. However, I developed a severe tinnitus, which I suspect is from the salicylic acid. How long will this acid stay in my system? Will the tinnitus go away after that?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your concerns. You have two different problems. 1) The wart on the finger for which you applied salicyclic acid and the wart fell off. This much salicyclic does not enter the body system nor it causes any problems like Tinnitus.
2) Tinnitus: For tinnitus you have to consult an ENT as your have to get a clinical evaluations, examination and investigations to find the causes. The causes can be local like wax in the ear, middle ear infection and such that are treatable. If there are reasons not found then the treatment will be obviously on empirical basis.
