Suggest Treatment For Tonsil Stones And Cough

Hi, thanks for asking. I usually have tonsil stones, and bad breath. Today, I had this huge, almost pea size decomposed, thing coming from my nasal cavity. After I coughed this thing out, I could feel my nasal cavity less constrict, like air flowing better in that side. The other side feels tight. It is possible I have things stuck, in that area? Can that be the reason of my awful smell from my nose, and throat? How can I explain this to a doctor, and not to feel like I am crazy or weird? ...

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of something crusty coming out of hte nose which improved you nasal airway. You also have tonsillar stones.

As per the history my thoughts are:
The basic reason for your hallitosis or foetor as this is called is atrophic rhinitis wherein the infection in the nasal cavity is permanent. There may be a primary or secondary sinusitis.

I would advise you the following:
CT scan of the nose and sinuses.
ENT Endoscopy..
Pus from the nose and the tonsils for gram staining, culture and sensitivity.
Tests of blood, urine.
Broad spectrum antibiotic.
Nasal wash outs.
Multivitamins and iron supplements.

All these things will help to get alright.
