Suggest Treatment For Tonsillitis And Swollen Glands In Neck
Hi I had tonsillitis about five weeks ago, during which time my right lymph node became swollen. It is still feeling like it is slightly swollen. I visited my GP who told me I have enlarged tonsils and has given me more antibiotics. I tried to explain that my tonsils have always been this large. He eventually said he would refer me to an ENT doctor. I still find myself worrying about the swollen lymph node and am now even starting to think the other side is equally as swollen. I keep pressing and comparing them. I m worried that is could be something more sinister than an infection. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi, Having enlarged tonsils is no problem unless it becomes infected. In your case as there is enlarged, tender lymph node indicates that there might be having some infection on tonsils or throat giving this problem. Go for one more course of antibiotic medicine. Do salt water gargle. Avoid fried, chilies and junk food. Ok and take care.
