hi, I have tonsillitis today and im planning to take antibiotics. But im afraid to take this because last week I treated my self with antibiotics also for my infection. My question is, how many days does a person can take again antibiotics after he/she used it?
Hello! Well, tonsillitis is a common infection which is treated using antibiotics until advised for surgery. But no worries, tonsillitis is treated within 5 to 7 days depending on the regimen. What I prefer giving to my patients is:
1)Amoxicillin + Clavunalic acid (Augmintim) 500mg twice a day 2) B complex capsules twice a day 3) Paracetamol twice a day
this regimen is taken for 5 days and I am sure that would help you with the infection.
Best regards, Dr Gunjan Jain
