I am 32 weeks pregnant and im feeling a lot of pain in my tooth im pretty sure its infected and I need a root canal. I dont know what I should do last time I had an infection I went the emergency room and they gave me antibiotics before my I had my root canal but im pregnant now so I dont think that s possible again
Most of the medications are contraindicated during pregnancy, especially pain management medications. So please do not take any pills without consulting youe doctor. The only safe pain management pill I can suggest now is paracetamol (tylenol or panadol).
I would recommend you to use pain management medication for now, and report to your obstetrician who will decide which antibiotics are safe to use. With this list you may report to your dentist and go about the required procedure.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
